Fonctionnement

Our association has restored the buildings of this former wrack farm, the works being organized as training and rehab periods. Lots of conversion materials and fittings come from the ships of the association. On the island, the same rules of community life as the ones defined on the Bel Espoir apply to all visitors.

In the main house, the kitchen is equipped with a gas cooker and a whole set of kitchen ustensils for groups. The main room, used as the dining room and lounge area, is similar to the deckhouse of the Bel Espoir and can accommodate up to 35 guests on 2 large tables.The room is heated by a wood stove.

The farmhouse can sleep up to 20 guests. The sleeping accommodations, in mezzanines or in bunkbeds, are similar to the ones provided on the Bel Espoir. The bathrooms are situated at the right angle formed by the 2 houses.

The flat and soft land of the island is ideal for camping. On the sunny terrace, on front of the houses sits a large table, perfectly suited to open air meals.

Stagadon offers a wide range of activities. According to seasons and equipments available, visitors can learn (or practise) sailing, fishing, canoeing, windsurfing, diving or simply swimming. The occasional gardeners can practise their favorite activity in the vegetable garden.

Various options are offered to the visitors: a daily trip, a night at the farm, camping, shuttle service or not.
